Harmonic ProView 8100 belongs to the Harmonic ProView™ 8000 family of integrated receiver-decoders and the first member to feature single-channel commercial decoder and descrambler. Proview 8100 is compact & fully featured for primary distribution applications. The device  can
receive DVB-S/S2, IP or ASI signals, decode SD and HD MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC transport streams to baseband, descramble encrypted programs, and output content to analog or digital. Like always Harmonic continues to maintain Superior video quality and low latency a must-have for the content distribution service add-on feature of workflow efficiency. This device is capable of providing simultaneous HD-SDI and SD-SDI output with high-quality HD-to-SD down-conversion, which allows  operators to use the same device to feed both the HD and SD production chains.
