The JVC GY-HM700U HD camcorder capable of both 1080i/p and 720p recording, the camcorder can be used for production, news gathering and cinematography. Interestingly, the JVC GY-HM700U comes with solid-state recording system which records directly to hot-swappable SDHC cards boasting the fast acquisition-to-edit workflow in the industry. This model comes equipped with a Fujinon 17x lens. Native File recording technology of GY-HM700 stores video in the ready-to-edit file format used by Apple’s FCP & Adobe Premiere editing systems. The “.mov” files created can be easily dragged to NLE timeline without conversion or rewrapping, thereby removing the usage of an intermediate codec. The GY-HM700 is equipped with high-resolution viewfinder based Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) panel. This all-digital viewfinder displays images with more than 5 times the resolution of typical colour viewfinders.
